Sponsorship :: It's NEVER TOO LATE!
Greetings:
As the Chairs of RRC (Reynoldstown Revitalization Corporation) and RCIL (Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League),p roud to inform you about the “Reynoldstown Wheelbarrow Festival”. This is our 13th year producing this event, and we want to make it special. There is a Silent Auction on the evening of Friday, June 20th. The festival activities will occur on Saturday, July 12th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. and are aimed at providing Atlanta with the highest quality summer entertainment while promoting a variety of local artists.
Anyone that ever thought revitalizing inner city neighborhoods is a lost cause should take a look at the Reynoldstown community. Several years ago, Reynoldstown was characterized by streets that were in disrepair, blight and abandoned houses. Statistics showed that the Reynoldstown population declined by 18% between 1980 and 1990. Since RRC and RCIL have been working together to engage the community, Reynoldstown has known a population growth of more than 5% annually. Tremendous improvements have been made through the promotion of community leadership, physical changes in multi-family and single family housing and community beautification.
RRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to develop sustainable communities through knowledge sharing, community building, housing and economic opportunities with residents at the center of our efforts. RRC seeks to upgrade living conditions in neighborhoods but most importantly, RRC is empowering residents to achieve their goals through community organizing and leadership training. RRC was founded by RCIL (also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization), and the two organizations have been partners since 1989.
You have an opportunity to showcase your business as a Wheelbarrow Festival sponsor through the Festival’s public relations outreach on TV,
radio and news typically reaching more than 300,000 Atlanta residents. Your information in the 2008 souvenir program brochure would signal to metro Atlantans your support for community revitalization.
It is our hope
that you will be inspired to support the 13th anniversary of
the Wheelbarrow Festival and the Reynoldstown community. With your help, we will prove that inner city neighborhoods can offer an excellent environment for families to progress and make viable contributions to the broader community.
